from San Marcos where she attended
school the past year and summer.
Miss Johnny will teach the Sinton
Mexican school this year.
Mrs. J. O. Bea-seman and son, Joe,
left Thursday for Houston for a visit
to Mrs. Beaseman’s daughters, Misses
Mattie and Laura Beaseman, and her
brother, C. H. McLawchlin.
Mrs. F. A. Beatty and children and
Mrs. R. R. Wilson and children of Cor-
pus Christi are spending this week in
the city while their husbands are at-
tending to business in Sinton.
Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Franklin and Ray
Franklin have returned from a trip
to. points in West Texas. His parents
visited at Temple, and Ray at Miner-
al Wells, Breckenridge and other
points.

Mrs. R. B. McFadden underwent a
major operation at the home of MTs.
S. A. Hamlin Tuesday, and is reported
doing well as could lie expected since
the operation.
Mr. hn.d Mrs. D. O. Rigby of West
Sinton were in the city Tuesday on
their way to Corpus Christi. They
were accompanied to the hay city by
Mrs. Mayme McNeill.
Miss Ouida Dodson of Alpine, one of
the new teachers for the- Sinton Pub-
lic school, has arrived and is making
her home with her aunt, Mrs. Virgin-
ia Benson at present.
Mrs. J. E. Yates and daughter Ivy
are spending two months in Kerrville
at the summer home of her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Scoggin or Corpus
Christi. Mrs. Scogin and Miss Gladys
Scogin complete the party enjoying
the summer in the mountains.
