But the best of the whole situation is
the fact that such an enormous quan-
tity of feed has been planted and is in
such fine shape. Hundreds of acres-
of-The finest feed in the world were
seen on the trip.
The following towns were visited, at
each of which short stops were made
and advertising matter distributed:
Taft, Gregory, Portland, Aransas Pass,
Rockport, Bayside, Woodsboro and Re-
fugio. The mileage was something
likell5 miles, and the party reached
home between 4:3d and 5:00 o’clock.
At every stop the visitors were re-
ceived with the glad hand, and a fra-
ternal welcome. One very unfortu-
nate circumstance attended our visit
to Rockport. The party arrived th\p
some thirty minutes ahead of time,
and after a short concert bv the band,
they beat it for Bayside. It seems
that the good people of Rockport had:
planned a big reception for us—auto-
mobile parade and many other fea-
tures to show their welcome. Had the
Sinton bunch known of .this, they cer-
tainly would have been glad to

In addition to the above, some guess-
ing contests were held by some of our
merchants* and worth-while prizes giv-
en away by them.
This was the “starter” in the Trades
Day game, and the Chamber of Com-
merce has openly proclaimed it a good
one. Program for the next one will be
announced in dife time.
