Peanut Festival Friday And Saturday
Floresville.—The stage is set for holiday.
the nationally publicized 7th An-
nual Floresville Peanut Festival
which holds forth this week and is
expected to attract 25,000 visitors
Friday and Saturday, September
24 and . 25th. - ■
A mile long street parade with
King Peanut being displayed in
every conceivable fashion; floats,
cars, trucks, farm displays and
special features will open festivi-
ties. Streets will, be decorated
throughout th? pity with green.pea-
nut vines and golden brown Spanish
peanuts hanging therefrom in clus-
ters. Booths will offer peanuts in
the ,huil, shelled, roasted, peanut
candy and peanut butter made by
-the farm women of Wilson county.
