FROM AN OLD-TIME
FRIEND OF OURS
MYERS-WILSON
A very quiet wedding took
. place Saturday morning, Sep-
tember 3rd, 1921, at the home
of Mr. and Mrs, O. K. Crow,
when Mr.* Allen Myers and
Miss Pearl Wilson were united
in marriage, Rev. O. C. Cro'w,
of Donna, Texas, performing
the ceremony in the presence
of relatives and intimate
friends.
Mr. Myers in the youngest
son of Mr. and Mrs. William
Myers, Sr., of the Eads com-
munity, and is one of our most
highly respected young men,
having attended and finished
in <Mir high school. He was
stationed at Camp Travis dur-
ing lie World War, and is
now engaged in farming a few
miles west of Sinton.
The bride is the second
daughter of Mrs. Mattie Wil-
son, and is most favorably
known here, having taken a
very active part in both soci-
ety, and church affairs of the
community. x
An ice course w^s sepred to
, the guests after the ceremony,
the bride ana groom lea\ftng in
their car for a trip to the Val-
ley, after which they will re-
turn to Sinton to make their
home.
The News joins their many
friends in wishing for them
all happiness and success.
Portland, Ore., Aug. 27, 21.
Dear Old San Pat News:
By way of giving away our
present location, will say, on
leaving California, June 1st,
we came direct to Portland,
and after treating ^purselves
to the many beautiful scenes
up the Columbia Highway and
an auta tour through Eastern
Washington and Idaho, re-
turned to Portland; leaving
here again on August 1st, up
another Highway known
through Washington as “The
Pacific Scenic Path,” from
Portland to Seattle, touching
Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helena,
stopping at -Olympia and Ta-
coma, pitching our tent in
Green River Gorge, where we
spent three weeks, and allow
us to say that the Great Artist
of nature certainly was al-
lowed his strongest powers of
beauty when He formed and
painted the Green River
Gorge and surrounding coun-
try. Through the velvet, gras-
sy yard surrounding our tent
ran a cold stream supported
only a few yards away by a
waterfall which jumps over a
cliff several feet high.
Mrs. Swayne kodaked most
all the important scenes, even
me, and some day we hope'to
be present in your never-to-be-
forgotten little city, and allow
the Whole bunch to gaze upon
those wonderful scenes.\
Will you please send your
next copy to Heppner, Oregon,
where we expect to go in a
few days, as we are incom-
plete without the News.
Respectfully,
J. L. Swayne.
