Repeal Delegates Get 120000 Votes to 65000 for
Drys; Many Counties Vote Local Option For
Sale of 3.2 Beer After September 15th

Texas yesterday ratified by an overwhelming majority the
repeal of the ISth amendment and the amendment to the
state constitution to legalize the Kile of .1.2 beer.
Voters also approved the constitutional amendments for
issuance of 820000000 relief bonds for local county homo
rule and for extending the
al counties wnere stale taxes are now remitted to counties.
Out of a total of 1(50000 votes the bcor amendment had
received more than 110000 to approximately 58000 against
it.
The repeal delegates had been given 120000 votes to
(i5ouo for the dry delegates.
