Benefits Derived By San Patricio County From The Oil Industry
EVERY PERSON in San Patricio County has
benefited either directly or indirectly by the
Oil Industry. We are proud of the part we have
played in the construction of better roads,
school facilities, and other improvements. We
believe a clearer understanding by those citi-
zens ciot directly connected with the Oil Indus-
try as to what the Plymouth Oil Company and.
the industry as a whole have done and are do-
ing in the county will lead to a stronger friend-
ship. The following information is furnished to
enlighten the citizenship of San Patricio Coun-
ty as to these benefits San Patricio County has
derived and is deriving from the Oil Industry.

The oil industry has expended in excess of $30,000,000.00 in San Patricio County for the period 1934 to 1940, inclusive.

The Plymouth Oil Company has expended $8,250,000.00 in development costs and physical property investment.

Plymouth Oil Company has expended $479,000.00 in lease rental and exploration.
■
The annual pay roll of Plymouth Oil Company is $250,000.00.
■
The daily production per well has decreased 70% from the year 1935 to the year 1940.
■
For the year 1939, Plymouth Oil Company paid $379,518.28 in Local, State, County, and Federal Taxes from San Patricio
County operations ONLY.
■
The Tax Cost from San Patricio County operations for the year 1939 was $4,027.37 per employee of Plymouth Oil Company
living in San Patricio County.
