A Buddhist Missionary has arriv-
ed in New York from China, in the
person of Wong Chin Foo, a learned
pundit and a fluent and eloquent or-
ator in the English tongue, who pro-
poses to show it is all stuff to talk
about the Chinese as idolators and
heathens. He says:
“I challenge any man to say that
he ever heard a Chinese man, wo-
man or child take the name of Al-
mighty God in vain, unless it was
in the English language after he had
become demoralized.”
