edged the scooped neckline and

a V at the waist. Three narow sa-

roses crisscrossed at the front and

that flowed into a chapel-length
train.
Her veil of silk illusion was held
by a tiara of 'seed pearls. She car-
ried a lace handkerchief carried

Officials Optimistic
For Mercedes Loan
Both Sen. Lyndon Johnson and
Rep. Joe Kilgore are actively
pushing for approval of a $5,000,000
small projects loan for the local
water district, Manager W. D.
Parish said Monday.
He said he attended both House
and Senate committee hearings
Friday, June 13, which also was
attended by the two Texas lawn-
makers.
Parish said both were optimis-
tic that the committees would re-
port favorably on the loan. The
$5,000,000 is the amount sought for
the first year of the rehabilitation
project for the water district. How-
ever, should the appropriation be
omitted from the current list,
there still is a good chance it
would be included in a supple-
mental appropriation later in the
session.
