NAA Elects Preston
Gendler President
Preston Gendler was elected
president of the National Associa-
tion of Accountants for the years
1965-66. Other officers elected
are Dennis R. Wood. David F.
Robertson, Robert W. Mongomery,
vice-presidents, James M. Barker,
secretary: Jeff L. Coxsey, treas-
urer and Bob W. Le&g, assistant
secretary.
The newly elected directors are
Paul B. Clark, Wayne G. Evans,
W. F. Jacoby, Jr., Daniel B Pow-
ell, David L. Krause, Robert L.
Rhodes, Henry I. Davidson, Al-
bert R. Summers, Thomas L. Ruck,
Paul W. Willey and Bob Willaert.
The new president has operated
his own practice in Dallas for the
last 12 years. He graduated from
Southern Methodist University in
1948 with a BBA degree in pro-
fessional accounting. He joined
the Dallas Chapter of the NAA in
1955 and has served it as associate
director from 1958 through 1960;
director, 1960-1961; assistant sec-
retary, 1961-1962; secretary', 1962-
1963; vice-president, 1963-1965.
Mr. Gendler and the other offi-
cers of the Dallas Chapter will
strive to attain the goals of NAA,
which are to develop better und-
erstanding and use of accounting
data as applied to economic en-
deavor.

Kay Jones Listed on
Dean's Honor Roll
BELTON, Texas — Kay Jones
was one of several students at
Mary Hardin-Baylor College to be
listed on the Dean’s Honor Roll
for the 1965 Spring Semester. She
achieved a 2.7 average.
Kay is a sophomore majoring in
special education. She resides at
2412 Brairwood Lane, Carrollton.

Marine Corps aviation had its
inception in May 1912. In August
of that year Lieutenant Alfred A.
Cunningham became the first
Marine to solo, doing so after only
2 hours and 40 minutes of instruc-
tion.
