When on a visit to Iowa, Mr. K.
Dalton, pf Luray, Russell county,
Kansas, called at the laboratory

to shpw them his six year old boy,

one of D. F. Prosser’s Fire Ex-
tinguishers in our gin and on or
about the 20th of September 1894,
our gin caught fire. The fire was
in both gin stands and fifty or sev-
enty-five pounds of lint cotton in

Mr. J._ P. Blaize, an extensive
real estate dealer in Des Moines,
Iowa, narrowly escaped one of
the severest attacks of pneumo-
nia while in the northern part of
that state during a recent blizzard,
says the Saturday Review. Mr.
Alaize had occasion to drive sev-
eral miles during the storm and
was so thoroughly chilled that he
was unable to get warm, and inside

pneumonia or lung fever. Mr.
Blaize sent to the nearest drug

F. Wilson, on the morning of No-
vember 21st, 1894, of typhoid
fever, Mrs. Mary E. Reeser, aged
fifty-three years and ten months.
Mrs. Reeser'-was bprn in Ca-
chocton county, Ohio, was con-
verted and joined the Methodist
ehnrch a£ the age of twelve years,
was united in marriage with D. W.
Reeser in the year cf 1859 ; she
raised seven children, one of
whom ir Mr. Laura'Love of Jacks-
boro.
The deceased left he? home in
Oklahoma to visit her children
and friends in Jack county. Her
remains were laid to rest in Oak-
wood Cemetery at Jacksboro, on
