The bride has lived in Coleman
all of her life and Is a graduate of
Coleman High School. Sgt. John-
son to a graduate of Jack:,boro
High School and was a member of
the famous Lost Battalion. He was

ing also.

AT FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH
A meeting of the Women’s Coun-
cil was held In the First Christian
church Wednesday afternoon. No- I
vember 14. with Mrs. Henry Varner
presiding. "Love Divine" was sung
with Mrs. John O. Hariris playing
Hostess House Tuesday evening,
which was the regiH-ar business ses-
sion. with Mrs Ross Russell pre-
siding.
Sandwich plates were served at
quartet tables centered with vases
of yellow chrysanthemums, preced-
ing the business session, at which
time Mrs, Zoe Hayworth spoke to
the club on establishing a library
for the colored citizenship of Cole-
man.
Miss Maxine Stayton was granted
a transfer from the local club to
the piano accompaniment.
Thomas A Gray
prayer and announced that a school
of missions would be held in Abi-
lene on December 3rd.
Mrs. W. G McKinney was pro-
gram leader and gave the devotion-
al from the first chapter of "John".

Hostess House Thursday afternoon

ENTERTAINS WITH
THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON
Members of the Coleman Inde-
pendent Club entertained with a
turkey luncheon at the home of
Mis Frank Brewer Tuesday. The
home was decorated with arrange-
ments of chrysanthemums in orange
and red colors. The menu was serv-
ed buffet style, with an arrange-
ment of fruit, vegetables and nuts
centering the table, flanked by yel-
low tapers. The Thanksgiving motif
was further noted In place cards
Plans weer made for the annual
achievement day event to be held
at the Garrett Hostess House on
December 7. when Indian Creek
and Live at Home clubs will be
guests.
