We are another week
closer to the annual Whon
Picnic on the first Satur-
day in April, which will be
Saturday, April 2nd. We
do trust we will have
beautiful weather - in
hopes winter will have
come and gone by Satur-
day, the 2nd. On Saturday,

the 26th, which will be this
coming Saturday, men will
meet to clean the grounds
and haul wood and do the
things that are always
done before picnic day. We
want everyone to feel they
have a special invitation to
our annual piicnic.

ing with relatives. They
stated they met relatives
they had never heard of.
But the special occasion
was helping Mrs. Gussie
Bell observe her 94th
birthday. Mrs. Bell is a
cousin of the late Mr. Oscar
Lovplady. The group re-
ported a wonderful day
and so good to meet new
relatives. Mrs. Bell, even
though 94 years old, has to
use a walker to get around,
but otherwise is very ac-
tive with the memory of a
young person. The day was

well spent and profitable.
Loyd Rutherford and
children, Tonna and Todd
visited with a friend, Mrs.
Moody Sikes, a patient in
the Brownwood Regional
Hospital Sunday after-
noon. Glad to report Mrs.
Sikes, a friend of the
family, who lives in Bangs,
was feeling better Sunday
afternoon.
' Our community has re-
ceived better than 1 Vt inch
of rain since our last news-
letter. Coleman County
people will not have to
read the paper to know it
has also been cold. Was 26
degrees at our house Mon-
day morning
We had a telephone visit
with our son, Thomas Ray
in New Hampshire Sunday
afternoon. The weather
there was not so cold. They
had no snow, but they
were really having the
rain.

the Tom Rutherfords Mon-
day morning.

NINE YEAR OLDS Ross Bradley (loft) ond
Dan Keeney are buddies from way back so
the Santa Anna Elementary School students
are getting ready for Easter together this
year by modeling fashions from Billy the
Kid. Ross is wearing celery green belted
dress pants with a coordinated multi-strip-
ed knit shirt while Dan looks snappy in
navy blue belted dress pants with a
matching yellow knit shirt with a blue trim
collar and buttons.

works out, maybe the 1984 Olympics could
be in the picture for the Santa Anna lads.
Dan looks sharp in Billy the Kid swimming
trunks and a matching cut-off multi-color-
ed shirt while Ross is ready to sprint in his
BTK running shorts and coordinating tank
top. Runners beware . . . watch out for
number 181 Dan is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Keeney of Santa Anna and Ross is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Bradley.
