Chapman Exploration
Chapman Exploration of
Tulsa has revealed plans to
drill two 5,800 ft. develop-
mental wells in the Francis-
Cherryhomes Field in Jack
County. The wells have been
designated as the Nos. 16
and 17 Mike Cherryhomes
"M".
The well designated as No.
16 Mike Cherryhomes "MH is
located in a 1,164 acre lease
1.5 miles east of Stewarton
in the F. Payne A-1564 Sur-
vey and No. 17 Mike Cher-
ryhomes "M" is in a 1,518
acre lease one mile east of
Stewarton in the N. Gragg A-
1087 Survey.
Hall Operating
Hall Operating of Fort
Worth is planning a shal-
lower pool wildcat workover
of the No. 1 Coley, a wildcat,
located five miles south of
Bryson in Jack County.
It orginally was taken to a
total depth of 4,740 feet and
showed ability to flow
630,000 CF gas daily from
Mississippian Formation
perforations 4,718 feet to
4,736 feet into the hole. Hall
plans to seek additional pro-
duction at a depth of 4,740
feet.
Ka-Tex Producing
A 3,600 ft. developmental
well is planned by Ka-Tex
Producing of Graham at a
drillsite four miles north-
northwest of Jermyn, Jack
County. The location is in a
40 acre lease in the TE&L A-
712 Survey. Well's designa-
tion is the No. 2 Sloan. It is in
the Jack Regular Field.
Sandollar Oil & Gas
Plug-and-abandon order
were issued for the No. 1
Myers, a wildcat venture of
Sandollar Oil & Gas of Dal-
las in Jack County. Spudded
April 28, the well had
reached 3,600 feet total
depth. Drillsite was seven
miles northeast of Berwick,
in the A-Myers A-2087 Sur-
vey.
Kasle Energy
Kasle Energy of Dallas has
abandoned its developmen-
tal workover attempts of the;
Nos. 3 and 4 R.E. Voyles in
Jack County's Antelope
Southeast Field located
southeast of Antelope. The
No. 3 R.E. Voyles carried a
permit for 5,060 feet and the
No. 4 R.E. Voyles has a per-
mit for 5,150 feet of hole.
Kasle Energy
A developmental work-
over try of the No. 2 M.L.
Garrett "B" has been aban-
doned by Kasle Energy of
Dallas. The well is located in
Jack County's Bowen Field
two miles northeast of Ante-
lope. The well carried permit
for 5,052 feet of hole.
Kasle Energy
Workover tries of the No. 1
and No. 2 Stimson-Garrett
Trust have been abandoned
by Kasle Energy of Dallas.
The wells are located in Jack
County's Hanlon field four
miles north of Jermyn and
they carried permits for
4,600 feet of hole.
Mitchell Energy
Flowing 264 barrels of oil
per day, along with
2,800,000 CF casinghead
gas, the No. 6 W.W.
Hollingsworth GU "A" was
completed at a wildcat loca-
tion in Wise County by
Mitchell Energy of Houston.
Drillsite is four miles
southeast of Boonsville.
It will produce from a per-
forated interval in the Bend
Conglomerate Formation
4,099 feet to 4,296 feet into
the hole. Production tests
were run on a 32/64 inch
choke.
The location is in the Ken-
dall Almon A-1081 Survey.
Mitchell Energy
Mitchell Energy of Hous-
ton has revealed plans to
drill a 5,300 ft. wildcat in
Wise County. The operator
has 352 acres leased, with
drillsite in Wise County’s
Smith CSL A-744 Survey
and has designated the ven-
ture as the No. 3 W.D.
Johnson "A". Drillsite is 4.5
miles north of Rhome.
Mitchell Energy
Drillsite has been staked
for the No. 11 D.W.
Newsome, a 4,600 ft. deeper
pool wildcat in Wise County.
The operation will be located
1.5 miles west of Boonsville
in a 395 acre lease in the
George H. Duncan A-240
Survey. The operator is
Mitchell Energy of Houston.
Double Diamond
Energy Corp.
A Granbury-based opera-
tor has staked location for
the No. 4 Harrison #4, a wild-
cat well to be located three
miles south of Dennison.
With projected total depth of
2,999 feet, the well is in a 160
acre unit in Parker County's
Double Diamond and Cock-
rel Fields, W.C. Cooper Sur-
vey. The operator is Double
Diamond Energy Corp.
Damson Oil
Damson Oil of Brecken-
ridge has revealed plans to
drill three 4,200 ft. develop-
metnal wells in the James
Field. The operator has 640
acres leased, with drillsite in
Young County's TE&L A-

well will be spudded in a 40
acre lease two miles west of
Belnap in Young County's
TE&L A-294 Survey.
Tom Brightman
Tom Brightman, Inc., of
Graham has abnadoned an
undrilled location in the
Young Regular Field one-
fourth mile northeast of
Proffitt. The well has been
designated as the WD-1 Ha-
milton "B" and carried per-
mit for 1,100 feet of hole.
Chester R. Upham Jr.
At a location seven miles
north of Gordon, Chester R.
Upham Jr. of Mineral Wells
has finaled a new gas pro-
ducer in Palo Pinto County's
Long Ranch Field.
The well is designated as
the No. 1 Lolita Long, with
an absolute open flow rating
of 1,770,000 CFD.
Location is in the Burleson
CSL Survey. Bottomed at
3,805 feet with plugback to
3,669 feet, the well will pro-
duce from perforations in a
conglomerate, 3,343 to 3,348
feet into the wellbore.
