Music Recital At Perrin
Mrs. Gerald Cox will present
her music pupils in a recital at
8 p.m. May 20 in the Perrin
school auditorium.
Those taking part are Sylvia
Beth McQueary, Adonna Patton,
Nicki Johnson, Laura Lee Hoot-
en, Billie Gail Gillespie, Paulette
Hancock of Bowie; one son,
John L. Lemons of Newport;
one sister, Mrs. John Baucom of

Funeral services were held in
the newport Union Church at
3 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Carrol
D. Copeland of Denison officiat-
ing. Burial was in the Newport
Cemetery.

night, May 9 in the home of
George Corse Jr. of Graham.
Rev. Mrs. Robbie Corse per-
formed the single ring cere-
mony.
Jane Hall, sister of the groom,
was the only attendant. The
bride wore a white floral acrilon
crepe dress and carried a white
Bible topped with red rose buds.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Morrow of
Wizard Wells and a 1954 grad-
uate of Jacksboro High School.
She is employed with South-
western Bell Telephone in Gra-
ham.
The group is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Maurice Hall of Lov-
ing and attended high school
in Graham. He served on Okin-
awa and the Far East with the
U. S. Marine Corps, and is em-
ployed by Atchley and Atchley
Construction Co. of Olney.
The couple are making their
home in Graham.
Granddaughter of Two
City Residents Dies
Mrs. Margaret Bass, 33,
granddaughter of Mrs. J. W.
Gaskin and Mrs. W. M. Leach
of Jacksboro, died in Princeton,
111. May 13.
Survivors include her husband
Wally Bass, two sons, two
daughters of Princeton; one
brother, Lt. Richard Gaskin of
Denver, Colo., and her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Gaskin of
Jackson, Miss.

Perrin GA's Honor Their
Mothers At Tea Tuesday
The G.A.’s of the Perrin Bap-
tist Church honored their moth-
ers May 13 with a tea in the
church annex, in keeping with
G.A. Focus Week.
Linda Dickenson gave the
welcome and each girl pinned
a corsage on her mother. Lyn-
elle Cranford gave the devotion-
al. Kay Cranford was crowned
queen for the week.
Forty guests were served in-
cluding Rev. and Mrs, W. J.
White and Mrs. Effie Luna and
Mrs. Wm. Gillespie, sponsors.
Mrs. Anita Gallo of Denton
is one of 25 graduate students
who have applied for master’s
degrees this semester at North
Texas State College.
Baccalaureate services for the
degree candidates will be held
Sunday, May 25, in the main
auditorium. Degrees will be
awarded in commencement ex-
ercises at Fouts Field Friday,
May 30.
Mrs. Gallo is a candidate for
the master of business educa-
tion degree. The daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Raymond Thompson of
Jacksboro, she is a member of
Delta Pi Epsilon, graduate busi-
ness education fraternity, and
Pi Omega Pi, national business
education scholarship society.
Mrs. Gallo was presented a
plaque last week for being the
outstanding graduate student in
Business Education at NTSC.
She has been instructing in the
Business Education Department
while teaching.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gallo have
three sons, Locker, Sammy and
Joe Paul.
Receives Softball Award
Janice Spencer, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Randy Spencer,
has recently received the All
Star Award in softball from the
green bracket for 1958 at NTSC
at Denton.
