Officers At Dallas
Five directors from the local
unit of the Farm Bureau at-
tended the annual convention
of the American Farm Bureau
at Dallas, Dec. 11-14. Everyone
who attended was deeply im-
pressed by the talks, especially
those made by the president,
Allan B. Kline, the secretary,
Roger Fleming and Governor
Allan Shivers.

Former Resident
Dies In California
Osceia Davis, 48 years old, a
native of Jack County, died in
a Visalia, Calif., hospital, Sat-
urday evening, Dec. 16. of a
heart attack he had suffered
the Thursday before.
Funeral services and burial
were held in Visalia Monday.
Dec. 18th.
Sisters of the deceased are
Mrs. Winnie Owen, Jacksboro;
Mrs. Mattie Manning, Joy; and
a brother, Derly Davis of Hen-
rietta. Several other brothers
and sisters survive.
