State Centennial ceh ' rations.
Plans are being made to ntertaln
approximately 50,000 persons.
The Centennial theme will he
wSVen itno the program of enter-
tainment with emphasis to be
made on tho colorful periods in
Texas history. The Tom Tom
will be opened officially on Juno
5 with a large parade of more than
'50 beautiful floats. Other attrac-
tions during the two days will be
the coronation of the queen, a pag-
eant, the Queens ball, street dances
with both modern and old time
music, rodeo, industrial exposition
tomato show, old time orchestral
contest, Bohemian folk lore dances,
a milking contest, and carnival at-
traction.
Many South Texans and residents
of the Rio Grande valley are ex-
pected to stop at the Tom Tom on
| their way 'to Dallas for the open-

years ago when more than one-half
of Texas was under water from the
Gulf of Mexico, the longest known
tracks in the world (there being
75 feet of tracks), will lead to the
main exhibit hall to the University
Centennial exposition in Gregory
Gymnasium at the University of
Texas from June 1 to Dec. 1 The
tracks will later ho transferred to
the Texas Memorial Museum, the
first unit of which will be comc-
pleted in the fall of 193C.
