Judy McKenna
COMANCHE — Funeral services for Judy Mallicote McK-
enna, 69, of Comanche, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday,
May 18, at Heartland Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at
4 p.m. at Restland Cemetery at Gatesville. The family will
receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until
time of service.
She died on Sunday, May 12, 2013, in Fort Worth.

RANGER — Sammie Tee Dunn, 85, passed away Sat-
urday, May 11, 2013, at Arbor House in Weatherford.
Sammie was born Nov. 5, 1927, in Huckabay.
She had a strong faith in God and was a member of
the Mesquite and Rusk Church of Christ in Ranger. Her
husband, Tom Dunn, preceded her in death on May 31,
2012. They were married 65 14 years.
She will be remembered as a loving mother and
grandmother, a good and honest woman with the high-
est integrity and a faithful servant of Jesus Christ.
Survivors include daughter, Dianne Blair and husband
Tom of Cedar Park; daughter, Alicia Belvin and husband
Tom of Weatherford; daughter, Brenda Anderson and
husband Rex of Weatherford; and son, Thomas E. Dunn
and wife Vicki of Glen Rose. Sammie is also loved and
remembered by her 11 grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel
Alvin Pack and Addie Pack; her husband, Tom Dunn;
brother, Nolan Pack; and sisters, Veda Millican, Verna
Morren, Nina Hendrickson and Golda Fron.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thurs-
day, May 16 at Mesquite and Rusk Church of Christ in
Ranger. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 16
at Mesquite and Rusk Church of Christ in Ranger with
burial to follow at 3 p.m. at Erath Garden of Memory in
Stephenville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe sent to Foster’s
Home for Children, 1779 North Graham Street, Stephen-
ville, Texas.

will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, at the Church
of Christ in Bangs with Michael light officiating.

Funeral services for Deann “Deni” Williams, 57, of

After commissioners voted, Ham said he is happy to
get back to work and went up to the justice of the peace
offices to take the oath of office. Ham’s wife, Angela, and
their daughter, Jaenene Tucker, watched as Precinct 3
Justice of the Peace Bryan Thompson administered the
oath.
Nearly four months ago, colleagues, friends and family
had attended a retirement reception for Ham in the same
place where he took the oath of office Monday morning.
Ham said earlier he had never expected to get his job
back.
Ham, 73, of Blanket, was first elected constable in 1996.

George Wesley Hammond
GOFDTHWAITE — Graveside services for George Wesley
Hammond, 65, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 15
at Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery with Bobby Machen of-
ficiating.
He died on Thursday, May 9, 2013.
George was bom Jan. 30,1948, in Goldthwaite, to Clifford
Neal Hammond and Anna Beth Davis Hammond. He mar-
ried Artie Johnson on July 27, 1971, in Burnet.
George served his country in the U.S. Army during the
Vietnam War as a Medic at Camp Drake in Japan where the
wounded from Vietnam were flown for care. When he re-
turned home in 1970, he began driving a tmck and contin-
ued until he retired because of health issues in 2005.
Survivors include his wife, Artie Hammond of Goldth-
waite; son, James and wife Sheri Hammond of Fake Port,
Mich.; three sisters, Tony Andres of Houston, Patsy and
husband Jack McMahn of Midland, and Polly Womack of
Goldthwaite; sisters-in-law, Kay Hammond of Comanche;
Kassie Ann and husband Don Smith of Blanket; numerous
nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother,
Mike Hammond.

Kennith Earl Sliger
COMANCHE — Funeral services for Kennith Earl
Sliger, 74, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 16, at
the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow
at the Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche with the Rev.
Gerald Burns officiating. Visitation will be held from
6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
He died Monday, May 12, 2013 at Comanche County
Medical Center.
Kennith was born on Aug. 10, 1938 in Comanche
County to Berett and Ruby Ethel (Goddard) Sliger. He
was married to Beverly Ann Barret for 39 years. She
preceded him in death on Dec. 6, 2000.
He worked as a superintendent for Moorman’s
Manufacturing in Comanche for many years. After
retiring, he worked for Sliger Construction and as a
rancher. He was a member of the First Baptist Church
in Comanche.
Survivors include his son, Keith Sliger of Coman-
che; daughter, Faura Parker of Snyder; son, Kevin and
wife Cheryl Sliger of Comanche; seven grandchildren;
brother, Roy Sliger of Comanche; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
