Random acts of kindness
should be infectious
BY THOM HANRAHAN
BROWNWOOD BULLETIN
thorn. han rahan @ brownwoodbu lletin.com
If Santa ever had a helper, it is Kim Finch.
For about four years, Finch and her daughter have been making nice.
They have been out in their communities doing things for others. Ran-
dom acts of kindness.
‘I saw it on Pinterest where a lady turned 30 and for her birthday she
and others went out and did 30 random acts of kindness,” Finch said. “I
thought that random acts of kindness would be a thing.”
So Finch and her daughter try to do those random acts now counting
down to Christmas.

A visit from St. Nicholas:
A holiday tradition
‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter’s nap,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
