The Salvation Army Service Center of Brownwood Loaves
and Fishes program is open from noon to 1 p.m. weekdays
serving a hot lunch at 403 Lakeway Drive. Everyone is welcome.
There is a short daily devotional that begins at 11:45 a.m., just
prior to the lunch. Call Donna Harris, director, at (325) 646-5369
for information.
Brownwood Duplicate Bridge Club that usually meets at 1
p.m. every Tuesday at Adams Street Community Center, will not
meet again until Jan. 7, due to the holiday season. Cost is $3 per

647-1035.
The Lake Brownwood Lions Club will not hold a bingo this
Tuesday due to the holiday. They will hold a New Years special
bingo session next Tuesday with the first session beginning at
6:30 p.m. and the second session at 9:30 p.m. at 6751 Highway
279, North Lake Brownwood. No alcohol allowed on the prem-

The Good Samaritan clothing room and food pantry will re-
open at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at 305 Clark St.
The Brownwood-Early Lions Club meets at 7 p.m. at the Li-
ons Club building on Garmon Drive (on Zephyr Highway) in Early.
Brownwood Group of Alcoholics Anonymous meets from
8-9 p.m. seven days a week at 700 E. Baker. Call (325) 646-5842

The Browntowner Group of Alcoholics Anonymous meets
at 7 a.m., noon and at 6:30 p.m. at 502 W. Austin Ave. For infor-

New Way Narcotics Anonymous meets at 7 p.m. daily at 602
W. Commerce.
Brownwood Al-Anon meets from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays
and Thursdays at the Family Services Center, 901 Ave. B, down-

WEDNESDAY, Dec. 25

open Christmas Day and will be serving a traditional Christmas
dinner from noon to 1 p.m., or until everyone is well fed, located

Kidz for Christ won’t meet again until 5:30 p.m. Wednesday
Jan. 15, at the Early First Baptist Church. For ages 3 years to
sixth grade. Includes Bible study, missions activities, games, and

The Rock Bible Study won’t meet again until 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 309 Third St., parking is in the back. All
denominations welcome, community-based gathering for anyone
who wants to explore the Word of God in a Theocratic manner

The Brownwood Rotary Club will not meet this week or next
due to the holiday.
A Service of Blessings and Soaking Prayer will not meet this
week due to the holiday.
Grand Starz Bingo will not play Wednesday due to the holiday.

6:30 p.m. Wednesdays in the overflow of Abundant Life Church. the month.

THURSDAY, Dec. 26
Brown County Museum of History is displaying the firearms
exhibit “Bullets, Badges and Badmen, the Guns that Brought
Law and Order to Texas”. Also on display are Pioneer, and World
War II Camp Bowie artifacts. Open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thurs-
days and Fridays, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Located
in the Old Jail, 212 N. Broadway across from the Courthouse. $2
admission, under age 5 is free. Call (325) 641 -1926 for more in-
formation. For special tours, call the office at (325) 641 -1926 and
leave a message, or call the museum manager at (325) 641 -8391.
The Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club meets at 6:30 a.m. at Bran-
din’ Iron, 1501 Market Place.
The Brownwood Kiwanis Club meets at noon at the Brown-
wood Country Club.
Grand Starz Bingo at 6 and 8 p.m. Sundays, 6:30 and 8:30
p.m. Thursdays, and 7 and 9 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays. Will
benefit the Lake Brownwood Dam Volunteer Fire Department,
Big Brothers Big Sisters and Redmen Lodge.
Zumba classes are held at 5:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and
Thursdays at the Brick in the First Baptist Church in Brownwood.
Cost per class is $2 per person. The classes are open to every-

The Pecan Valley Republican Women will meet at 11:30 a.m.
Bring Everyone In the Zone support group meets from
6:30-7:30 p.m. at Building 1, Room 133, at Texas State Technical
College (TSTC), 305 Booker St. The group is for anyone who has
served in the military and/or their family members.
The group supports veterans, active duty military, National
Guard and reserve members and their family members who need
support. Issues covered include deployment, adjusting to coming
home, and more. All veterans and active duty members, guard
and reserve members, dependents and surviving spouses are

“Kid’s Zone” is open with hands-on exhibits for children of
all ages at the Brown County Museum of History annex. The $2
admission covers both the old jail and the annex. “The Guns
Of Empire” firearms exhibit is currently showing at the old jail.
It is located at 212 N. Broadway in Brownwood, across from
the courthouse. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursdays and
Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Call (325) 641 -1926 for
more information. Special tours are available.
Women’s Winner Circle Peer Support Group will meet from
5:30-6:30 p.m. at 408 Mulberry in the Center for Life Resources
Building. Winner Circle Peer Support will meet from 6:30-7:30
p.m.
The Bangs Food Pantry, 104 County Road 183, will be open
from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every other Thursday.
