Panthers, Indians open
league play Friday
After a week off from com-
petition, the Medina Valley
Panthers will hit the football
field again on Friday.
Not only will it mark the
start of play in District 29-
AAAA, but their contest
against Harlandale could
wind up going a long way
toward determining the
league winner.
The teams face off at Pan-
ther Stadium this Friday at 7
p.m. All 29-AAAA games will
have a 7 p.m. kickoff.
The Panthers come in
with a record of 2-1, win-
ning a pair of non-district
nail-biters over Boerne and
Hondo to head into the
open week.
Harlandale is 3-0 on the
year, and is averaging over
35 points per game.
Last year’s game resulted
in the Indians winning a
51-41 shootout. But that
turned out to be Medina
Valley’s only loss in district
play, as the Panthers ran off
six straight wins to claim the
district championship.
