Mary Garza recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.
They were united in matrimony at Our Lady of Guada-
lupe Catholic Church in Hondo November 9, 1963. They
celebrated with family and friends from near and far on
Oct. 5, 2013, with a Mass at St. John the Evangelist
Catholic Church. The couple was blessed with six chil-
dren, Henry, Baby Jose, Jose Damian, Yvonne, Peter and
James; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Berkley Fae Hall was born
Thursday, October 24,2013, at
2:50 p.m. at Norman Regional
Hospital in Norman, OK. She
weighed 9 lbs., lloz., and
measured 21 inches.
Her big sister, Rielynn, along
with parents Petty Officer 3rd
Class Trent and Johanna Hall
welcomed her to their new
home in Oklahoma City, OK.
Also welcoming Berkley are
grandparents, Stuart and Me-

of Plum, TX, and great-grandparents Henry and Verlie Fay Ni-

Alma and Danny Gibeaut of Utopia are happy to announce
the arrival of their son, Daniel Dwayne Gibeaut, born Wednes-
day, October 9,2013, at 11:07 p.m. at Medina Regional Hospi-
tal in Hondo. He weighed 8 lbs., 6 oz., and measured 21 inches.
Big sisters Sherilyn and McKenzye Gibeaut and Norma A.
Gomez welcome him into the family. Maternal grandparent is
Norma A. Gomez of Utopia.

Erlinda Valdez and Wesley Sances of Sabinal are happy to
announce the arrival of their son, Lane Joseph Sances, born
Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at 8:18 a.m. at Medina Regional
Hospital in Hondo. He weighed 7 lbs., 5 oz., and measured
20 inches. Big sister Kylee Mayson Craig welcomes him into
the family. Maternal grandparent is William Valdez of Sabinal.
Paternal grandparents are Kelly Villarreal of Sabinal and Lynn
Sances of Houston. Great-grandparents are Santiago and An-
gie Contreras, and Janet Brice of Sabinal.

Tarah and Anthony Callis of D’Hanis are happy to announce
the arrival of their daughter, Chloe Rochelle Callis, born Sun-
day, October 20,2013, at 5:45 a.m. at Medina Regional Hospital
in Hondo. She weighed 6 lbs., 8 oz., and measured 19 inches.
Big sister Emma Boehle Callis welcomes her into the family.
Maternal grandparents are Brian Boehle, Johnette Dixon and
Jimmy Dixon of Hondo. Paternal grandparents are Jim and
Sandy Callis of Corpus Christi. Great-grandparents are Marie
Callis of Corpus Christi, Hilmer and Betty Boehle of Hondo
and John Devers of Jourdanton.

19 1/4 inches. Sister Hartley Cuppes welcomes him into the
family. Maternal grandparents are Clint andTammi Cuppes of
Sabinal/Utopia. Paternal grandparents are Randy and Kathy

2010. She is employed with
Hondo ISD as a Idndergarten
teacher.
The prospective groom is
a 2003 graduate of Uvalde
High School; he earned a
bachelor’s of science degree
in natural resource manage-
ment from Sul Ross State
University in 2011. He is em-
ployed by Drilcom in Pearsall
as their operations manager.
A March 2014 wedding is
planned.
