Man sentenced for secretly photographing women
BY STEVE NASH
BROWNWOOD BULLETIN
Steve, nash @ brownwoodbu lletin.com
A Brownwood man who was
accused of secredy photographing
women for sexual gratification was
sentenced Wednesday in 35th Dis-
trict Court to 20 years in prison.
Johnny Wright, 51, entered guilty
pleas before Visiting Judge James
Morgan of De Leon on Monday
in five cases of improper photog-
raphy and one case of evidence
tampering.
After hearing testimony Wednes-
day, Morgan sentenced Wright to
four years in each case but stacked
the sentences. Wright won’t begin
serving that time until he first
serves an 18-month sentence in
federal prison in a firearms case,
First Assistant District Attorney
Sam Moss said.
Morgan also sentenced Wright to
10 years in prison in the evidence
tampering case, but that sentence
will run concurrent with the im-
proper photography cases.
Witnesses in Wednesday’s hear-
ing included sheriff’s investigator
Lana Guthrie, who said the sheriff’s
office took the case in late June
2012 after receiving an inquiry
from the district attorney’s office.

Participating in geocaching is relatively simple,
Gober said. “Anyone that wants to take part can go
to www.geocaching.com and register. Once you are
