The Reporter presents herewith a picture of the “Alamo
Heroes’ Mopument” which will be erected in San Antonio to the
memory of those who died in that historic struggle. An Associ-
ation has been formed of patriotic Texans to build this mammoth
structure. The fund was started a few weeks ago by placing with
each and every bank in Texas tickets for sale to those who desire
to assist in the noble undertaking, each bank retaining the money

so collected until called for by the trustees to be put to the actual
use for which it was given.
The monument will be the highest structure in the world.
It will be 802 feet high and designed along modern lines. The
structure will contain four spacious auditoriums, an art gallery,
a museum, and a separate room for each county in Texas to be
devoted by each to the encouragement of art and history.
We hope the people of Texas generally will lend full en-
couragement to this move.

As To Shows.
Now that the tent show fever
has about subsided let’s all
remember what a good picture
show we have in town and give
it a better patronage. Manager
Cliett has given Rockdale a
picture show that has helped to
increase her prominence on the
map. lie has spent lots of
money with us. He has given
us the very best of everything
and a square deal every time,
arid he is going to supply us
now with the most uptodate
open-air theater in Central
Texas for towns of 10,000 and
less; we refer to his proposed
root-garden airdome, which wiii
not only be a distinct novelty
but will be the most pleasant
open-air theater possible to he
constructed.
Mr. Cliett hasn’t squealed
much, but we know the tent
shows have been getting much
of his patronage. Just, remem-
ber there never was a show that
came as near giving you your
money’s worth as The Princess,
and let’s all show our appreci-
ation.
No matter how long you suffered, or
what other remedies have failed to
cure, Foley Kidney Fills will surely
help yon. They are genuinely tonic,
strengthening and curative, build up
the kidneys and restore their regular

which affected a complete cure.” Sold

Money For Flood Sufferers.
Many Texas towns have made
liberal contributions to Ohio
Hood sufferers. Some of our
citizens circulated a list in Rock-
dale the earlier part of this
week and raised a very neat sum
of money to aid those who have
been driven from their homel-
and are suffering for the want
of food and clothing.
