Dallas newspapers estimated that
30,000 persons crowded around the
funeral homes where the bodies of
Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker
awaited burial. The streets and
sidewalks were blocked for several
blocks in every direction and much
damage was done by the crowd to
flowers, shrubbery and movable ob-
jects inside and outside the under-
taking establishments. Barrow was
buried Friday and Parker Satur-
day, after being shot by a posse of

Sandy Creek, June 4.—Still dry out
our way. A good rain would be appre-
ciated as corn and gardens are suffer-
ing considerably. Com is almost a
complete failure, and gardens are dying
for the want of rain. Cotton is looking
very well and most of it has been chop-
ped out.
Our school closed on the 25th of May
with a splendid program and a success-
ful term. All children made passing
grades.
A large crowd gathered for singing
