School Board Meets
Taft Independent School
District Trustees met in
regular session Tuesday night,
Dec 19 to discuss several
phases of business and to hear
reports
Following approval of the
minutes and accounts payable,
E. H. Pullin, business
manager, stated that in
refernce to the financial report
ISAO.OOO had been collected in
taxes, which still represents a
slow coming in for the
budgeted amount.
He also slated that the fi#-70
budget would not be ac cepted
by Austin and that a special
Imard meeting would be called
when the new audit was
completed

held their annual Christmas
supper and dance Saturday
night Dec. 16. at East
Elementary School
The hall was gaily decorated
w ith the Christmas spirit and
each member and their invited
guests went through the buffet
line for a dinner of turkey or
ham with dressing and cran
berries, beans, sweet potatoes,
rolls, fruit salad, cake, cold
drinks, tea or coffee.
