There’s a lot
of brains and sweat
behind a head of hybrid sorghum
And PIONEER People in Taft
furnish a lot of both
I he average sorghum farmer now pro
duces four times as much grain from a given
amount of land u he did 20 years ago Hov,'
One important reason is in the seed he plants.
The developmenc of that, hybrid seed is one of
the most exciting things that has happened m
agriculture since the invention of the tractor
Much of that development has taken
place right here in Taft.
Moat of the talented, conscientious
people at the Pioneer sorghum breeding sta
tion located at Taft have been involved in the
revolution from the start. And they are all
involved in it now. In the laboratories, in the
test plot*, in the offices, they are continually
working to develop new and superior sorghum
varieties.
They do it with a rich mixture of talent
and hard work And they Jake great satin-
faction in knowing that what they are doing
,ts important, not just to their company and the
farmers who plant their seed, but also import-
ant to their country, important to mankind.
Pioneer People. Your neighbors. Ask
them to tell you about their work
Pioneer Hi-Bred is helping put Texas
on the map of world agriculture.
