Club Names Show Winners
Town and Country Garden
Club honored Mrs. Dale Greav-
es with Artistic Sweepstakes
for accumulating most points on
■^er entries in the Artistic
division of the recent flower
show, “The Greatest Show on
Earth," and Mrs. Oplin Saund-
ers with Sweepstakes in the
Horticultural Division. The
Show was staged Saturday,
May 19, in Sam Cobb Center in
Coleman.
Mrs, Jim Gill won the Award
of Creativity, Mrs. Zeno Hemp-
hill the Tri-Color, and Mrs. Jim,
Weatherby the Art and Indus-
try Award, all for arrange-’
ments in the Artistic Division.
In the Horticultural Division
Mrs. Don Wilkinson won the
Award of Merit on a spray of
honeysuckle atid Mrs. Saunders
won the Arboreal Award for an
exhibit of Pittisporum.
Miss Teresa Johnson receiv-
ed the Junior Achievement
Award for her airplane plant.
In addition the judges' cited
junior exhibitors for the un-
usual quality displayed in their
arrangements.
The Club was complimented
for the abundant use of fresh
flowers and plant materials in
their arrangements and the
clever staging of the show.

NANCY JONES, 18, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Jones, has
been named recipient of the
annual scholarship awarded by
Delta Iota Chapter No. 952,
Epsilon Sigma Alpha Women
International, Coleman. Miss
Jones, who graduated from
Coleman High School Thursday
night, .plans to attend Angelo
State University and major in
special education. The $300
scholarship was awarded
through a panel of one
community resident, one high
school representative, and one
Delta Iota member, with
another chapter member also
serving on the scholarship
committee.

M. Price has accepted the
pastorate of the First Baptist
Church effective Sunday, June
3.
Rev. and Mrs. Price are the
parents of five children, three
daughters who are married and
away from home, and two sons,
Nathan, 18, and David, 5.
Rev. Price has been serving
as pastor at Flat, Texas. He is a
native of Cameron. He has been
in the ministry 11 years.
