Succumbs Sunday;
Services Monday
Mack H Kelley, 73, of Lawn
died at 12:20 a. m Sunday,' Ap-
ril 30, 1967 in Abilene's Hen-
drick Memorial Hospital follow-
ing a two-year, illness. Funeral
services were held Monday.
May 1, 1967 in the First Baptist
Church at Lawn with Elder C.
fvl. Haygood and Rev, Ray Ash,
pastor, officiating. Burial was
! in Dewey Cemetery.
Born January 8. 1894 in Cole
I man County, he married Rhoda
Griffin November 8. 1914, in j
j Lawn He farmed in Taylor and
Coleman counties until 1943
when he moved to Houston to
j work as a carpenter. A member
j of the Baptist church, he relir-
led in 1960. In 1965 Mr. and Mrs.
| Kelley moved to the Stewart
Nursing Home in Lawn after he
suffered a stroke in Houston the
: preceding year.
j Survivors include his wife; a
: daughter. Mrs. Marie Huey of
Houston; two grandsons, Mack
Huey and Arnold Lee Huey, j
both of Houston; two great
grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. An-
nie Matthews of Van Nuys, Cal-
! ifornia; and two nephews, Elry
Kelley and" T. O. Kelley, both
of Coleman.
