Bernard and Herb . . . check out a shipment
In order to supply the grow- I ing Southwest, manufacturer:
sacs3*
and suppliers, with the long
needed service of an exclusive
commercial warehouse, Bern-
ard Solway and Herb Slatkin
are in high gear with their
recently opened Big State
Bonded Warehouse Co., at 718
N. Throckmorton.
Both are well known to the
community through their
B’nai B’rith Little Theatre en-
terprises and organizational
activities. Herb is often called
Fort Worth’s “toastmastelr;
general. ’ ’
Located in a leased ware-
house of 90,000 square feet with
railroad trackage their ware-
house operation makes it pos-
sible for distant manufactur-
ers to ship goods in carload
lots for local customers to
draw on as their need de-
mands. A big savings in
freight is evidenced through
carload lot shipment and also
there is a great benefit to
customers to know that mer-
chandise is always available to
them.
Besides bonded warehouse
protection provides low in-
surance rates for one user.
The firm Has plastics, meat
products and other goods in
storage now and can provide
service for manufacturers
ranging from tooth picks to
tractors.
