FEDERATION DAY CAMP
Tremendous approval and enthusiasm has been voiced by
our towners in response to the announcement that the Jewish
Federation Day Camp will sponsor an even broader camping
program for the youngsters of Fort Worth this season.
Added to the agenda this season will be a much needed
teen-age program. Full details are not far off. Faye Brach-
man, Camp Chairman, would like any member of the com-
munity interested in working on any of the many phases of
the Camp Program to call her at WI-9207 or the Federation
office at FO-7646.

tertaining her cousin, Margie
Stoll of Los Angeles. When
Lillian Rose and Irving Ro-
senthal return from their Aca-
pulco vacation, she and Betty
Jo Schwartz plan to embark
on a Carribean Cruise
Sarah and Iz Horwitz are
enjoying the visit of their dau-
ghter-in-law, Maxine Horwitz
and her precious youngster,
Wayne, of Ponca City and
Stella Wertheim of Cleve-
land, who is also visiting sis-
ter, Dorothy Rosenstein. Ger-
trude Weinstein, just back
from Healdton, Okla., where
she was the guest of her sister,
Joyce and Sam Carson, was
thrilled with her nephew Joel’s
performance as the lead in his
Senior Class Play.
Rabbi and Mrs. I. Garsek,
busy as bees preparing for
their son, David’s Bar Mitzvah
this Saturday morning will en-
tertain a great many out of
town relatives and friends.

grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
Joe Garsek of Des Moines,
Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Morris

Elaine and Harlan; Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Feintech and their
son, Ronald and Mrs. Sam
Sherman all of Des Moines;
Mrs. T. Goldstein of Miami,
Florida; Mr. and Mrs. Leon
Abovitz of Wharton, Mrs. Joe
Ochman of Richmond, Mrs.
Morris Edelstein of El Campo
and Mr. Sam Carshon of Okla-
homa City.
Dallas guests will include
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Raden, Mr.
and Mrs. Leon Rovinksy, Dr.
and Mrs. Clifford Seidel, Dr.
and Mrs. Bernard Schnitzer,
Mrs. Isadore Sorvis and dau-
ghter, Charlsa, Mrs. Pearl
Steinberg, Mrs. Rella Stein-
berg and Mrs. Morris Zelazny
David will be host at a for-
mal dance, Saturday night at
the Synagogue Center for his
teen-age friends. Betty and
Abe Applebaum will entertain
the out-of-town guests, at a
family dinner, Sunday at their
home.

Maxine and Bob Adel have as

Joe Shanblum previewed a
scene from “Hamlet & Yeggs,”
on Margaret McDonald’s Tex-
as Living TV Program, Mon-
day mornig. Also on the TV
stage were co-directors, Sey-
mour Spiegel and Bea Sch-
wartz.

Were happily surprised Satur-
day evening, when a group of
their friends hosted a house-
warming' at their lovely new
home at 3405 Cordon.
Several volunteers are still
needed to extend Passover
Home Hospitality to Service-
men stationed at nearby Army

of arrangements, can be reach-

Syde and George Rashti joy-
ous in the happiness of their
(children, Sara and Jordan Co-
han, are entertaining Dr. and
Mrs. Matthew (Faye) Berry
and their daughter, Mrs. Louis
CoKn of Atlantic City and
Mrs. Alfred (Daisy), Boren-
stem of Pittsburg, who were
all guests at the wedding in
Dodson, Mo., last week. Both

a Bar Mitzvah participates in
Sabbath Services at Ahavath
Sholom Synagogue will this
week, encompass the family of
its spiritual leader, Rabbi Isa-
dore Garsek.
Rabbi Garsek, whose son,
David, will be Bar Mitzvah, on
March 19, at the Synagogue,
will continue his series of ser-
mons on KNOW THY SELF,
speaking on the subject of
“Rituals and Ceremonies—
Badge of Identity,” this Fri-
day evening at the eight o’-
