with Mandelen but not many know the delights of
soup with almond balls. It is different and worth trying.
For the children in your family, aged eight to eighty,
brown sugar spice cakes could be a treat, served with a
meal or in-between nash, to cel-
ebrate the end of a harsh winter
and the beginning of a bright
spring.
Almond Balls

blanched almonds, ground
cup stale breadcrumbs,
ground
teaspoon salt
egg whites
Mix all of the above together,
make small balls from the mix-
ture and boil in soup until they
rise to the top.

3 eggs (separated)
V/a cups brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cloves
2 tablespoons hot water
Va lb. butter
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon of ground
cinnamon
l/a lb. almonds cut into pieces
Ya lb. currants
1 teaspoon baking soda
Dissolve soda in hot water.

Warsaw Ghetto Revolt Exhibit
WASHINGTON —A traveling
exhibit of more than 100 photo-
graphs and documents unearthed
in the ruins of the Warsaw Ghetto
or captured from the Nazis after
the war is being offered for pub-
lic showings throughout the coun-
try as part of the 25th commemo-
rative of the Warsaw Ghetto up-
rising.
The exhibit is jointly sponsored
by Y1VO Institute for Jewish Re-
search and the B'nai B'rith Klutz-
nick Exhibit Hall.
The exhibit. includes facsimiles
of German directives and remnants
of Jewish records—diaries, com-
munal orders, underground news- |
papers—as well as dramatic photos
depicting ghetto life in the early
war years and artocities committed
during the Nazi extermination
campaign.
