mer weather at present.
Mr. Ale Anderson has taken
his little son to Paducah to be
near the doctors, and we hear
that he is improving fast.
Mrs. W. II. Bragg has gone to
Nocona to visit her father, who
is very sick.
Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Doolen
are the glad parents of a fine
girl.
Dr. Sparks of Kirkland preach-
ed here last Sunday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Hardin of
Kirkland visited their aunt, Mrs.
J. C. McKnight, last Sunday.
Joe Cansler entertained the
young folks with a party Thurs-
day night.
W. II. McLendon will lead in
prayermeeting next Sunday even-
ing.

J. G. Lane is drilling a new well
for Chas. Brown this week. Mr.
Lane has a fine machine and it
does not take them long to put
down a good well.

Delwin was well represented
at the Grow picnic Saturday and
all report having a good time. We
enjoyed the baseball, the dinner,
the speaking, and some more
base ball. You know. I believe we
should have more picnics, W. 0.

was here Saturday.

visitors here Saturday.

Tom Andrews and family at-
tended the school entertainment
at Grow Friday night.
Miss Byrd Winton and her pu-
pils gave a recital at the school
house Monday night. A large
crowd was present and all en-
joyed the excellent program.
Miss Winton’s pupils all show
wonderful progress, which speaks
well for her teaching ability. We
hope to have Miss Winton with
us next year.

The PK girls visited some girl
friends here late in the evening
last Sunday. They seemed to
have a nice time.
On the First Sunday in June
the good people of this place
will have Children Day. Come
and bring a well-filled basket and
stay all day.
Dr. F. Stone left last Monday
with Tom J. Johnson for Quanah
to have an operation performed.

There will be a meeting of
the Farmers’ Institute of Padu-
cah local, the first Saturday in
June, which is the 3d day of
June. Very important business
to tend to. All farmers be pres-
ent. We will meet at 2:30 o’clock
at the court house.
