This year, Burleson fans have

ables the people to elect who they
desire to represent them in the State
Senate. That democratic system has
worked well in this state since the
adoption of our first constitution. I
wish Jane Nelson well in her capacity
as the newly elected senator for the
22nd Senatorial District.
I do want to thank all of the many
people who have worked for me and
with me during the 12 years I have
had the privilege of serving as your
senator. I believe we have been able
to accomplish many things and you
