organized in Texaha during the Civil
War. xVl that time we did not realize
that any member of this famous hand
resided in Ldua, aud we were relying;
on "Uncle’ Martin Vincent to furbish
us with the names, as he was -able to
call vL from memory many of the
names. Maj. L. Garrett, a prominent
and life-long citizen of'this county and
city, saw the, list of officers published
last week and, naturally, was deeply
interested in it, as he was a charter
member of the-company aud served lu
it throughout_the entire struggle.
Another old Veteraif,"who likewise was
a charter meAber and served the full
time, happened to he visiting in Edna
at this time.—He is W. 41 Brook, now
of Logans Point, La., anil Us visiting his
' this city.!
