commanding officer of the 65th Infantry, 3d Infantry
Division, is presenting Master Sgt. Frank Haynes Jr.,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Haynes of Edna, with an
oak leaf cluster to his Bronze Star Medal for meritor-
ious service in^the Korean War.

Haynes Jr. of Edna, son of Mr
and Mrs. Frank Haynes, has been
awarded the Bronze Star Medal
It wac his second.
He is with Company, B 65th
Infantry, 3rd Infantry Division.
The a.ward was made in con-
nection with military operations
against an armed enemy in Ko-
rea during the period of April
21, 1953, and May 24, 1954.
The citation read: “Sgt. Hai-
nes, serving as First Sergeant,
performed his duties in a super-
ior manner. Displaying re-
sourcefulness and determination
he skillfully supervised the
numerous administrative affairs
inherent to his position and con
tribuled immeasurably to the
smoothly-functioning operations
of' the company. Constantly ,
striving for the utmost in ef- j
ficiency, he devoted many hours
j tious leadership. Sgt. Haynes
