wos a member of the
Brotherhood of Locomotive
Engineers.
He was past master of
Mlneola Masonic Lodge. He
was also past high priest and
three-time Illustrious master
of Chapter No. 322 and
Mlneola Council No. 258
respectively. He was also
active In Ascesclon
Commandory No. 25j Knights
Temple of Tyler; Shoron Shrine
Temple, Tyler, and Wood
County Shrine Club, He holds
membership In York Rite
Esoteric Association and Texas
York Rite College No. 1 k.
He holds the order of high
priesthood, order of Silver
Trowel; super excellent
master's degree; and a life
membership as to h|s
proficiency In the Esoteric
Work Adopted by the Grand
Lotge of Texas. He holds
certificates adopted by
committee on work of the
Grand Royal Arch Chapter of
Texas and Grand Council of
Royal and Select Masters of
Texas. He also has served as
district deputy grand master
for the 11th Masonic District
of the Grand Lodge of Texas;

granddaughters; two step
grandchildren; several nieces
and nephews.

Fidelis Class
Meeting Held
The Fidelis Class met in the
Emory Baptist Church
Memorial Hall for their regular
monthly meeting and lun-
cheon.
The meeting was called to
order by Odessa Holt, the
president. Mrs. Deck Cobb
was unable to be there. Prayer
was led by Ruth Kemp. We
had a good business meeting.

Services for Mrs. R:jby
Yancey Robinson, 69, of
Cash were held at 2 p.m.

Butts officiating.
Mrs. Robinson was born
June 30, 1917 in Rains
County, daughter of Carl
and Fannie Hughey Yancey.
She died Thursday in a
Dallas hospital following
an extended illness.
She was retired from
20-years employment with
Texas Instruments of
Dallas; a past president
of the Arcadia Park P1A
and an honorary lifetime
member of the Texas PTA.
She was a member of the
Arcadia Park United
Methodist Church in
Dallas.
Her husband, Daniel J.
ftomnson preceded tiet rrr"
death in 1970.
She is survived by two
sons, Daniel Robinson of
Kennedy and J. B.
Robinson of Lancaster;
three daughters, Marge
Sumrow of Cash, DiAnn
Hawkins of Rowlett and
Imogene Robinson of
Tyler; two brothers,
Alvin Yancey of Rosenberg
and Ray Yancey of Crane;
two sisters, Bessie
Crowfford of Mesquite and
Mozell Mitchell of East
Tawakoni; 13
grandchildren; 15 qreat

great-great grandchild.
Burial was in the
Dunbar Cemetery under the
direction of Hood Funeral
Home of Emory.

Conference
COLLEGE STATION -
Rains County Treasurer Teresa
Northcutt joined some 230
other elected officials for the
15th annual County
Treasurer’s Seminar April
20-23 Theme of the seminar
was “Certified County Treas-
urers: Minds Over Money.”
Concurrent sessions at the
seminar provided customized
training based on population
and government structure of
the counties where the treas-
urers serve. Program topics in-
cluded contemporary cash
management, depository con-
tracts. fair labor standards,
computerization of records,
certificates of obligation and a
legislative update.
County treasurers who com-
plete the training are certified
as required by state law and
receive credits from the Texas
A&M University Office of
Professional Improvement.
The annual seminar is one of
the educational programs spon-
sored by the V. G. Young In-
stitute of County Government,
a part of the Texas Agricultural
Extension Service.
