SO WONDERFUL...The 82nd birthday of Kathleen Becknell
was celebrated with a covered-dish luncheon in the home of Deb
Traylor, employee of the Rains County Leader, with other em-
ployees and former staff members present. They were Jaxie
King, Linda Hass, Kristy Kirkpatrick, Suzanne Edwards, Betty
Deaton, Mattie Sisk and Nancy Fenter. A delightful gathering of
old friends remembering the funny and not-so-lunny events in the
life of the Leader as the years swifly pass by. The salad luncheon
was so delicious, and the event of the day was super. Apprecia-
tion to those who made it so. --Kat

WELL, HERE IT IS...the other little Harris grandbaby made its
arrival right on schedule, so grandparents Phil & Shirley Harris
put up the other sign on the second story of the Broken H Gallery
& Constable’s Office on the east side of the square. They are
welcoming their second grandchild, Adam Zachary, who arrived
within a week of their first grandchild, Kelsey Nicole. Proud
parents of Zachary are Phil Jr. & Margaret Harris of Emory,
while proud parents of Kelsey are David & Reene Shedd.

If your Leader has a “9”
on it, it’s time to renew.
Edd & Vera Fletcher had a most enjoyable visit recently with
their daughter, Peggy, and husband, Clark Wheeldon, in their
home on the “C” Ranch in Jackson, Wyoming. Their home is
nestled between two mountains.. the Tetons in the background on
a drive to Gros Ventre). They enjoyed and were so inspired with
the majestic scenery in Wyoming. Pictured is Peggy with her par-
ents, Vera & Edd Fletcher. Photo Contributed
