CREATIVE CONSERVATION- Lilia Ruiz made an outfit out
of soda can tabs to promote recycling. She wants everyone
to be creative in their conservation and “have fun with it.”
The Desdemona monthly

We also appreciate the ladies

except in December.
Visitors are welcome.

There were 62 in attendance
last Sunday with a nice group
of young adults and their
sponsors from Howard Payne

Editor's Mail
Dear Editor:
As a Dublin citizen I am
furious with the city. As a
single working mother who
is also putting myself
through college. I was
trying to make a few extra
bucks by having a garage
sale to help out with some
bills. As everyone else I put
out my garage sale signs
out and not even thirty
minutes later my signs
were picked up by the city.
The permit to have a
garage sale does state that
you cannot put signs in the
right away, but they do not
explain what the right away
is. I think the city needs to
explain what the right away
is my signs were away from
any stop sign and telephone
pole. One was even in my
front yard pointing down
to the storage building we
were having our garage
sale at and they picked it
up. I was furious when my
neighbor called and told
me the city picked up my
sign it was on private
property. I think it's
ridiculous.
This city is making many
people mad in so many
ways if I could pick up and
go I would get out of this
place. I cannot even call
Dublin home the city is so
messed up. I am not the
only one that feels this
way.
While driving to
Stephenville this weekend
late in the evening I saw 4
garage sale signs at the red
fight by DQ that were very
close to road. If you are
going to pick up my signs
and others why didn’t yall
pick up those signs? That
is wrong in my mind. If you
are going to pick some up
pick them all up. I can see
why people hate the city of
Dublin.
A single working mom
going through college
trying to make a few extra
bucks can’t because the
city is messed up. All they
want to do is make money
they don’t care about the
citizens that are trying to
make things right for their
family.
There are people out
there struggling in this
economy and need a few
extra bucks, but no the
crappy city of Dublin don’t
care as long as they make
money. I’ll be happy when I
can afford to move my
family away from Dublin.
