Gladys Mildred Bodine, 82,
of Dublin, died Dec. 5, 2006, at
Comanche County Medical
Center.
She was bom on Sept. 4,
1924, to Homer and Emily
(Fincher) Beason in Alexander.
She married Albert Ralph
Bodine on Aug. 18, 1971, in
Stephenville. He preceded her
in death on March 12, 2004.
Bodine was a member of
River Oaks Baptist Church and
was attending Proctor Baptist
Church at the time of her death.
She was a charter member of
Happy Hill Farm Academy.
Survivors include one
daughter, Donah Stricklin, two
step-daughters, Kay Laboda of
San Diego, CA and Claudia
Campbell of White Settlement;
two step-sons, Dan Bodine of
Predidio, TX and Marshall
Bodine of Sweetwater; one
grandson; nine step-
grandchildren and numerous
great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held
Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at Lacy
Funeral Home Chapel with Reb.
Emil V. Becker officiating.
Burial took place at Gardens of
Memory Cemetery.
RICHARDS
James W. Richards, 59, of
Proctor, died Dec. 6, 2006 at
Comanche County Medical
Center.
He was bom March 15, 1947
in Austin to Wilson L. Richard
and Mary Elizabeth Rightmire
Richards, who preceded him in
death.
Richards married Juanita
Brooks Aug. 10, 1973 in
Bastrop County. He was a
farmer and rancher living in the
Dublin area 18 years, having
previously lived in Manor, TX,
and was a member of Colorado
Lodge #96 in Webberville, TX..
BARNES
Tommy Dean Barnes, 81, of
Stephenville, died Dec. 11,
2006, at Community Nursing
Home in Stephenville.
He was bom May 28, 1925 to
Jessie Louis Barnes and Pearl
Hazzard in Comyn.
He married Anna Belle
Boyett. Barnes was a fanner, a
member of Comyn Baptist
Church and a member of VFW
4136 DAV Chapter 93 Post. He
was also a veteran in the U.S.
Marines in W.W. II.
He is survived by one brother,
Bill Barnes of DeLeon.
Barnes was preceded in death
by his wife on June 25, 2002,
and by 14 brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be
held today, Dec. 14, 2006, 2
p.m. at Comyn Cemetery with
Ray Seckinger offficiating.

Nellynn Denise Pollock
POLLOCK
Nellynn Denise Pollock, 55,
of Stephenville, died Monday,
Dec. 4, 2006, at her residence.
She was bom on June 23,
1951 to Nelson Coffman Sr. and
Joy (Prichett) Hitchcock in
Dallas. She was a family
therapist and a member of the
Harvest Hill Church in
Midlothian.
Survivors include her father,
Nelson Coffman Sr. of Mexico;
her mother and step-father, Joy
and Jim Hitchcock of
Midlothian; two sons, Johnny
Pollock Jr. of Dublin, Jake
Pollock of Stephenville; one
daughter, Jody Volf of
Stephenville; a brother, Nelson
Coffman Jr. of Midlothian;
maternal grandmother, Chlorine
Pritchett of Dallas and three
grandchildren.
A memorial service was held
Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, at
Harvest Hill Church in
Midlothian with Rev. Nelson
Coffman officiating. Burial
took place at Sardis Cemetery in
Sardis, TX.
SHAW
Faye T. Gilbreath Shaw, 95,
died Nov. 16, 2006, in San
Antonio.
Shaw was bom May 16, 1911
to J.T. Gilbreath and Mary Adeline
Lowry Gilbreath in a rural home
between Comanche and Dublin.
She married Carl T. Shaw on
November 12, 1938. Shaw was
the 1928 Valedictorian
onfComanche High School. She
received a scholarship and
attended the University of Texas
until 1930 when the Depression
altered her plans. She married
then Corporal Carl Shaw in 1938
and began her civil service career
at Camp Bowie during World War
II. After her husband's 1953
military retirement and a brief
association with the Dilley, Texas
hospital in the mid 1950's, Shaw
returned to civil service at
KellyAir Force Base, where she
continued until her retirement in
1983.
She is survived by her husband
and one son James T. Shaw.
At her request, an informal
memorial will be held later.
Wanda Murphy
MURPHY
Wanda Margaret Wilkins
Murphy, 78, of Lingleville, died
Dec. 6, 2006, at community
Nursing Home.
She was bom Dec. 1, 1928 in
Fort Worth to Houston and Lillie
Wilkins, whom preceded her in
death.
She married James J.
Murphy, Jr., Jan. 1, 1948 in Fort
Worth. Murphy was a 1945
graduate of Carter Riverside
High School and spent most of
her life in Fort Worth with the
previous 20 years in Lingleville.
While in Fort Worth, Murphy
worked for Martha Washingtons
and Southwestern Bell
Telephone. She was a
homemaker for 58 years.
Survivors include her
husband; daughter, , Linda
Susanne Murphy of Austin;
sons, James J. Murphy, III of
Lewisville, Timothy Richard
Murphy of Springfield, MO,
Mark Houston Murphy of
Dallas, and Christopher Alan
Murphy of Lingleville; three
grandchildren; and one sister,
Peggy Sue Wilkins of
Lingleville.
Funeral services were held
Saturday, Dec. 9, at Stephenville
Funeral Home, with Father
Philip McNamara officiating.
Graveside services were on
Monday, Dec. 11, at DFW
National Cemetery in Grand
Prarie.
Memorials may be made to
the Alzheimers Association.

Gypsy Rose (O’Banon)
Seigars, 70, of Dublin, died at
her home Wednesday, Dec. 13,
2006.
Bom May 24, 1936 in San
Angelo to Earl E. O’Banon and
Sadie O’Banon, she was
married to James “Red” Seigars
on Jan. 2, 1959 in San Angelo.
She was a homemaker and
member of Laurel Street
Methodist Church.
Survivors include her
husband; four sons, James
Richard Perkins, of Warner
Robins, GA; Danny Earl
Arnold of Jonesboro, GA;
Brian A. Seigars of Burkbumett
and Donald E. Seigars of
Dublin; a sister, Juanita Sherly
of Mesquite; two brothers,
Donald Ray O’Banon of San
Angelo and Billy Jean
O’Banon of Stephenville; by 11
grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2
p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006 at
Harrell Memorial Chapel with
burial in New Dublin
Cemetery, Rev. Victor Pena
officiating under direction of
Harrell Funeral Home.

his home.

County, to Milton Henry
Whitehead and Winnie Maggie
Wright, he was married to
Calistia Valdene Cook Dec. 24,
1942 in Dublin.
He was a Congregational
Methodist Minister and had
served as a former chaplain of
Pasadena Police Department for
18 years and was a former board
member of HUD in Pasadena.
He was preceded in death by
two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife of
Carrollton; three daughters,
Carolyn McLean of Carrollton,
Nancy Daniel of Carrollton and
Wanda Phares of Cedar Rapids
ID; two sons, Jim Whitehead of
Pasadena and Royce Whitehead
of Albuquerque. NM; five
sisters, Voncille Anderson of
Harlingen, Dorothy Landes of
Rotan, Margaret Cox of Hico,
Loreta Lee of San Antonio and
Helen Parks of Arlington; by 10
grandchildren and by 11 great-
grandchildren.
