Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ray Bet-
ty and sons of Dallas spent the
holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Ray
Betty and Glen Betty.
Mrs. Stiles Miller had all of her
children home for Christmas Day
and most of her grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Compton
had their children home for a
Christmas dinner on Sunday, Dec.
23. They were Mr. and Mrs. Chas
Miller and daughter of Dallas, Mr.
and Mrs. O’Dell Wilson and chil-
dren, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Kinney
and family and Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt
Adams and son of Fort Worth, and
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Burch and
sons of Kelley.
Mr. and Mrs. John Harris Flan-
ery of Dallas spent last Friday
night and Saturday with the for-
mer’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Her-
shel Flanery, and Leslie Ray.
Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Hickman of
Dallas, announce the arrival of a
son, Dec. 24, in a Dallas hospital.
Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs.
Volney Hickman and Mr. and Mrs.
S. A. Miller.
Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Flanery
and Leslie Ray spent New Year’s
Day in Dallas with their son and
daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
John Harris Flanery.
Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Flanery of
Celina spent Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Claud Thompson.
The singing convention at Mari-
lee last Sunday afternoon was
well attended. The Truetone Quar-
tette of Dallas and the Rutherford
Quartette and Dr. Vaught of Sher-
man, and other singers from vari-
ous places were present.

Mr. and Mrs. Whitley Kerr vis-
ited relatives in Kaufman Sunday.

my, stationed in Virginia, spent
the holidays with home folks.

Woods and Mr. and Mrs. Matt
Lounds.

Pell of McKinney, Mr. and Mrs. S.
M. Pell of Rhea Mills. There was
a New Year party at Mr. and
Mrs. L. T. Pell’s home. Quite a
crowd watched the old year out
and the new year in.
