YF Tractor Pull Here, At Fair
James Salyer shows Best Local Puller trophy to be
given at the Young Farmers Tractor Pull August 13,
14, and 15, at the riding arena. This is just one of the
many trophies that will be given away. Here is
Sayler’s Massey-Harrls 44 tractor, with a 350 Chevy
engine. Stone’s Auto Supply is sponsoring this tractor
built by Salyer and Jerry Bolton. Salyer will be
entering his tractor in the DeLeon Tractor Pull
Thursday night. He will be entering in the 7,000
pound tnodifled class in DeLeon.

Fall Fair
A Pet Show has been set for
this years Fall Fair, announces
Carolyn Tate, Chairman.
The show will be on Saturday,
August 14, from 10 a.m. till 12
noon at the Fair Grounds.
Chairman Tate ask that all
wishing to participate should
have their pet at the fair
grounds (in cage or on leash) by
10 a.m. Each animal' must be.
registered, prior to the show,
and a small registering fee of
$1.00 will be charged.
There will be eight divisions:
Horses, Goats, Dogs, Cats,
Rabbits, Birds, Rodents, Misc.
Each division will be awarded
first, second, and third place
ribbons.
Ppf® owners are urged to
participate in the Fair’s first Pet
Show.

This is Dublin Community
Fall Fair’s 22nd anniversary and
its theme is “Texas Settlers”.

The Fair Parade committe and
interested citizens donated mo-
ney in order to host a supper for
these men at the lunchroom.
The parade will continue
down North Patrick, past the
First United Methodist Church,
ending at the Fair grounds
The Dixie Land Band of
Stephenville will perform at the
Fair grounds following the
parade. Be sure and go to the
Fair grounds as soon as the
parade is over.
The Rotary Club will be
selling chili and homemade ice
cream in their outside booth.

Dublin Athletic Booster Gub,
says President Gordon Lowe.
The club met recently to
organize and plan the Fall Fair
Membership is $5 for an
individual and $8 for couples.
Back this club by becoming a

meeting every Tuesday night at

YF Tractor Pull begins at the
Arena.

Final-trophy winners of the
3-day Tractor Pull, starts at 2
p.m. at Arena. Young Home-
makers will operate a conces-

The second Teen Canteen has
been announced for Saturday,
August 7, at 7:30 p.m. and will
close at 11:30 p.m. This is for all
teenagers and guest.
New officers were elected at
the first Canteen held last
month. Blane Lowe is President,
Dennis Woods is Vice-pres.,
and Ronnie Mund is chairman of
the refreshment committee.
The Canteen' is held every
other week in the Episcopal
Parish House. Come join the fun
