the Highland Baptist Church, sans
at die Southern Gospel Music As-
sociation in Will Rogers Colli-
seum in Fort Worth, Saturday
night, for this once a year affair.
Norma Nell House, the pianist,
Garon and Phil House, Mr. and
Mrs. Travis Barnes, Robert
Keith, the guitarist, compose the
quartet. Bill Campbell accompan-
ied the House family and Mrs.
Robert Barnes and Michael ac-
companied the Barnes family to
Fort Worth. Bill Keith attended
both the Friday right and Satur-
day night singings.
Mrs. June Dean from Koonoe,
Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Mathis and
Derrick from Belton, Mr. and
Mrs. Alfred Dupriest from Beau-
mont, Mr. and Mrs. Chan Priest
from De Loon, Bill Campbell and
Morte Burke from Dublin, were
visitors at the Highland Baptist
Church Sunday. '
Mr. and Mrs. Hardy Hazzard
visited Mr. \1 Hardin, husband
of the former Altha Norton, cf
Burleson, in the Harris Hospital
in Fort Worth Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. Lloyd Gray from Abilene,
Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Hamilton
from Dallas, Mr. and Mrs. Rich-
ard Thiebaud and Stephermie and
Mr. anil Mrs. Jerrye Westmore-
land from Dublin.
Rev. and Mrs. Luke Smith,
Shelia and Lisa were Sunday din-
r.ei guests of Mr. and Mrs. John-
nie Wilson in the Sunset Cafe.
After lunch the Wilsons visited
in the Dublin Nursing Home with
several patients.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Wilson
visited Saturday night with Mr.
and Mrs. Marshall Reeves.

from Beaumont, Mr. and Mrs. G.

drove to Dallas Monday and on
the way they visited A1. Hardin
in the Harris Hospital in Fort
Warth and in Arlington with Mr.

They wfll help Earline Sawyer,
daughter of Walter and Jessie,
celebrate her birthday Tuesday,
before returning home.
Joe and Battie Huffman from
Stephenville, visited Wednesday
night with Mr. and Mrs. Orval
Fair and family.
We are very happy that our
daughter-in-law, Mrs. Connie
Mack Fair, is doing fine in the
Methodist Hospital in Lubbock,
following major surgery last Wed-
nesday. Talked with her Saturday
night.
Mr. and Mrs. Orval Fair, La
Juan Mow and Pat, attended the
wedding Thursday night of their
son, Jimmie Neal Fair to Chris
Heath. Rev. Barnett Rippetoe
performed the ceremony in the
home of her Parents Mr. and
Mrs. Preston Heath, in Stephen-
ville. The newly weds attended
church at Round Grove Sunday
and were dinner guests in the
Fume of his parents.
Mrs. May Glen from Bluff Dale
and Terry Goin from Dublin were
visitors at the Round Grove Bap-
tist Church, Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Sikes and
sons from Fort Worth visited with
her sister Mr. and Mrs. Charles"
Wayne Armstrong and Charlotte
during the weekend.

Funeral Services
Funeral services for Claude
Lunsford, 71 of Hamilton were
held in the Riley Funeral Home
Chapel, Hamilton, Wednesday at
4 p. m. Burial was in Shive Ceme-
tery. lie died at 3:30 a. m. Tues-
day in the Veterans Hospital in
Temple. Officiating was the Rev.
W. C. Taylor and the Rev. Welsey
C. Jones.
A former resident of Carlton,
V was bom on March 7, 1903 in
the McGuirk Community to the
late Samson Webster Lunsford
and Nancy Caraway Lunsford.
Survivors >are his wife, Mary; 3
sisters, Mrs. Henry Seilkeimer of
Loraine, Mrs. John Seilkeimer of
Clovis, N. M. and Mrs. Joe Shef-
field of Springton; 2 brothers
Leslie of Carlton and Leroy of
Rosemount. California; several
Nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Luns-
ford, Gene Sharp, Billy Jo*
Sheffield, Bobby Thompson, Tru-
ett Townsend and Vernon Thomp-
son.

A planning meeting will be held
for District II of the Student
Council convention at Mann Jun-
ior’ High School, Tuesday, Septem-
ber 24. Three DHS Student Coun-
cil officers will be attending this
district meet. They are Bill
Campbell, Mickey Kennedy and
Arthur Mund.
