Pictured is new addition to Doggett Nursing Home now under construction at
202 E. Clinton. New wing will accomodate ten more patients and will include
a complete new kitchen and food preparation center. Several bedrooms and
five new baths are being added, some private rooms. The food preparation cen-
ter will be streamlined to facilitate service to patients, and extra storage
space will be another feature of the addition. Home will accomodate 47 pa-
tients when new wing is complete.

The Clairette Home Demon-
stration Club met at the Recre-
action Center June 20, for their
regular meeting, all members
were hostesses.
Club president, Mrs. Barr
presiding, opened the meeting
with Mrs. Golightly leading the
group in the dub pledge and
dub prayer.
With Mrs Loden at the piano,
the song, “Revive U» Again,’’
was sang. For recreation, Mrs.
Barr gave a contest with Mrs.
Stipe giving most answers. Roll
call was answered with “Where
I Keep My Drugs."
Mrs. Johnson gave a reporj:
of the last meeting and the sec-
retary’s report. Mrs. Loden gave
June Council report, the Stand-
ing committees gave their re-
ports. A get well card was sign-
ed by members for Hub Alex-
ander, who is ill in the Hieo
Hospital.
Mrs. Willis had charge of the
, program entitled, “Use and
! Abuse of Drugs in Schools and
Communities.”

spent last week vacationing in
New Orleans, sightseeing in the

FROM VIETNAM SERVICE
Randy Jones and two Marine
friends who served with him in
Vietnam, Steve Pcckhara of
Madison, Wisconsin, and Bill
Stokes of Los Angeles, Califor-
nia, stopped in. Dublin Tuesday,
June 17, to spend a few hours
with his mother, Mrs. Sammy
Jones and family, and grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Self.
Randy and his friends were
on their way to visit in Roswell,
New Mexico, his former home.

The Huse’ oldest daughter,
Betty Jo, married June 12. Mr.
and Mrs. Huse returned to
Rhode Island Tuesday. He has
been assigned to a station at
the South Pole with military
service and will be going there
in September.
