Bosque County, and during that
period Mr. Reesing and the late
Oscar Rohne were partners Later
they sold this place to Jess Barton,
and Mr. Reesing invested in anoth
er farm of approximately 170 acres,
which he purchased from Mr
Rohne The Reesings lived there
only about a year, for they soon
began looking for another place
because it took so long in those
days to reach town or church from
there in a buggy.
In their quest for another farm
they found one on Neils Creek in
the Boggy community west of Clif-
ton—a 160-acre place owned by
Allen Turner After selling their
place to George Price, of Clifton,
they purchased the Turner farm
i It remained their home for 47
i years, and it was there that they
reared their family of five children
As their children became older,
the" Reesings decided they could
work more land. With the help of
the children they rented the old
i Yarbrough place and later bought
it. Then Mr and Mrs. Reesing
point out that they really got busy,
for in a few years they also pur-
chased a tract of adjoining land
from Jim Ford Mr Reesing finally
was left alone, after the children
were grown and gone, to work 600
acres.
At the present time Mr. Reesing
