ATTEND FUNERAL IN WACO
Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Raley, of this
city, attended funeral services in
Waco for Mrs Roberto B. Ragsdale,
aged 81, at 10:00 o'clock on Mon-
day morning of this week at the
Austin Avenue Methodist Church.
Mrs. Ragsdale, who was a neighbor
of the Raleys in Waco for 31 years,
died at her home there at 12:01
o'clock last Saturday morning. Her
husband, whose death occurred on
May 1,1958, worked with Mr. Raley
as a member of the Wsco Fire De-
partment for many years.

Mr. Anderson is a graduate of
Clifton High School, and his bride,
who graduated from Valley Mills
High School, presently is employed
in the registrar’s office at Texas
Woman’s University in Denton.

Dr. Lawrence G. Nelson, a profes-
sor of English at Sweet Briar Col-
lege in Sweet Briar, Virginia, will
spend the coming year at Cam-
bridge, England, on sabbatical
leave from the Virginia girls’ eol-
lege. He is a brother of Mrs. Law-
rence Ringness and Mrs. Walter
Hansen, of Clifton.
Dr, and Mrs. Nelson and their
children, Judith and Lawrence Jr.,
will leave New York City on Sept-
ember 3 aboard the Bremer for
England. The children will attend
school in England during this
school year.
Dr. Nelaon will spend his sab-
batical studying and working on
his book, which will bo entitled
“Shakespeare and the Renaissance.”
