Mrs. Martha Celii Graham, 89.
died in the Clifton Lutheran Sun-
set Home Tuesday morning. Au-
gust 13. She had been a resident
of the Home since September, 1881.
Funeral services were held on
Thursday afternoon at 8:00 o’clock
at Blister Funeral Home in Meri-
dian, conducted by Reverend Hiram
E. Johnson of Meridian, and Odie
Pederson of the Sunset Home. Bu-
rial was in the Hanna Cemetery.
Mrs. Graham was born in Jones
County, Mississippi, February 25,
1874. She came to Texas in 1878.
She was married to J. H. F. Graham
October 28, 1887. He died in De-
cember, 1822.
Survivors are four sons, Fred
Graham of Dallas. Woodrow Gra-
ham of Fort Worth. Thurman Gra-
ham of Kenner, Louisiana, and
Robert Graham of Washington, D.
C.; three daughters. Mrs. Esther
Ixnris of Fort Worth, Mrs. Janie
Whitaker of Haskell, and Mrs. Ada
Sellers of Clifton; two brothers, R.
S. Turner of Houston, and A. H.
Turner of Levelland: one sister,
Mrs. Beulah Lane of Childress; 13
grandchildren and 28 great-grand-
children She was the grandmother
of Mrs. Charles Beeves and an aunt
of Mrs. Axel Hanson, both of Meri-
dian.

Mrs. Holford was born in Lone
Oak. Hunt County. She held the
distinction of being one -of Gar-
land's first society reporters. She
was among the early members of
the Garland Woman’s Study CluL
and a long-time member of the
First Methodist Church
Survivors include one son, Ro-
land Holford, and • daughter, Mrs
A. J. Poore of Garland; eight grand

day were R. S. Clement of Temple
and his son-in-law, Lawson Bomer,
of Garland. Mr*. Bomar, the for-
mer Mias Alice Clement, was in
Temple with her mother, who is
not at all well.
