brook, seventh grade; and Joanne
Kley, eighth grade. The following
junior higlt students were recogniz-
ed for having the highest grade point
averages: Christine Hensley, sixth
grade, 96.5; Kelly Kohrman, seventh
grade, 96; and April Spiller, eighth
grade, 97.8. Dora Bond and Bess
May Hext, both of whom retired
from teaching after 35 years, were
recognized for their volunteer ef-
forts at the junior high.
FFA students from Livingston
High School were recognized for
their achievements in the Sam
Houston District FFA Contest. On
the fourth place Chapter Farmer
Skills Team were Chester Dixon,
Tommy Snook, Todd Harrell and
Matt Matlock. Members of the sixth
place Greenhand Skills Team were
Ryan Riddle, Matt Hawkins, Heath
Bailey and Troy McDaniel.
Also recognized from the high
school were VFW Voice of
Democracy winners Jack Bobinger,
who placed first in county and
district competition, and Jennifer
Wall, who placed third county-wide.
All-district football players were
