It was decided to have a fund-raiser
by sponsoring a ‘ Lutefisk” dinner to
provide funds far new unforme—which
is where the tradition began.
This fund-raiser was so successful,
and there were oo many requests to
continue the event, that it has con
tinued for 26 years, with the funds
now distributed throughout the school
for different needs, such as
playground equipment, FFA, FHA
projects, and other things.
Too, this event keeps alive the
area’s Norwegian heritage while
bringing the community together in
fan all-out effort to contribute to the
school. Everyone is included in sup
plying homemade breads or pies, or
peeling and cooking the potatoes, or
helping in other ways. It is a joint ef-
fort by the community and the school
