FISHERMAN’S CORNER
By BUTCH SUITT
MWM
As you know, squirrel season
opened last weekend and many
usually devoted fishermen art
putting their rods up in favoi
of the trusty shotgun. Indica-
tions are that there is a yery
good crop of squirrels around
A good norther and a little rain
and there will be plenty ol
dumplin’s on the table. One
thing to remember when you
put your rod in the closet, fab
and winter fishing is some of
the best around.
The viciousness with which
a bass will strike a top water
lure on a crisp winter morning
cannot be matched any other
time of the year. The cool, clear
air —no mosquitoes — you just
can’t beat it.
This is my favorite time of
the year. There are fewer peo-
ple on the lake, fewer fishing
and even fewer boating and
skiing. 1 have mixed emotions
about recommending that you
try fall and winter fishing. If
you like it as much as I do, it
will mean there will be one
more boat on the lake to con-
tend with.
One thing that you have to
be careful about this time of
year, the weather. If you get
caught in the middle of one of
the big impoundments during
one of our frequent "blue" nor-
thers, you can get in real trou-
ble before you know it. Watch
the weather reports religiously
and plan your trips according-
ly.

After the noise of wild competitive claims dies
down, It’s time for the moment of truth. A
factual comparison of heating costs with a
written estimate. That’s when misconceptions
and competitive exaggerations about electric
heating cost come apart at the seams. Because
the estimate must be proven with facts and
figures. It’s at this moment thousands have
decided to switch to electric heat. In most
homes, the estimate proves the many advan-
tages of electric heat cost very little, if any
more than other fuels. Call us for a free estimate.
It’s a real eye-opener.
