VALLEY MILLS — During regu
lar session of the Valley Mills City
Council on June 1, Mayor Howard
Hillin. along with Aldermen Wallace
Bums, Gene Higginbotham, and
Curtis Wiethom, discussed the two
vacancies on the city council
Hillin said that the council should
not get in a hurry to fill the vacan
cies. Higginbotham said that one
woman has expressed an interest in
the position and Bums said that Bill
Lancaster said that he would serve
Wiethom added that he would like
to see I^ncaster back on the eoun
cil because of the water project
Hillin suggested the aldermen talk
to some of the people, and added that
a called meeting would be held to
take action on any decisions
